Privacy Policy

Dravik is local-first: your garage lives on your phone, not on a server. Here's exactly what leaves the device, and why.

The short version

What we collect and why

The photo you capture. It's run through a small on-device model (Apple's Vision framework + a bundled YOLO model) to check it plausibly shows a motorcycle. Anything else (a screen, a photo of a photo, an empty street) never leaves your phone.

Plate blurring. Before anything else happens, Dravik scans the photo on-device for plate-shaped text and blurs it. This runs whether or not the photo is ever sent anywhere.

Identification. The plate-blurred photo is sent to Anthropic or Google's vision models to identify the brand, model, year range, and class. Dravik's own servers never see this photo, because there are no Dravik servers.

Card artwork. The same photo is used to generate the card's "studio shot" render, through the same providers. This is the polished image shown on the card front; your original photo stays on-device and is what "tap for your shot" flips to.

Everything else (your cards, XP, streak, level, quest progress) is stored only in the app's local storage on your device. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or backed up anywhere by Dravik.

Who your photo goes to

RecipientWhat they getWhy
AnthropicPlate-blurred photoIdentifies brand/model/year/class, generates card artwork
GooglePlate-blurred photoIdentifies brand/model/year/class, generates card artwork (alternate path)

Each of those providers handles the photo under their own retention/privacy terms once it reaches them; Dravik doesn't control what happens on their side after the request completes.

Retention & deletion

Delete a card in-app and its photo is removed from your device immediately. Delete the app and everything (cards, photos, XP, streak) is gone with it. There's no Dravik-controlled backend copy to also delete, because there's no Dravik-controlled backend.

Children

Dravik isn't directed at children under 13, and doesn't knowingly collect anything from them.

Your choices

Camera access is required to catch motorcycles: that's the entire mechanic. You can revoke it anytime in iOS Settings; the app will just be unable to identify new catches. There's no account to create, so there's nothing to delete beyond the app itself.

Changes

This page will be updated if what Dravik collects or who it's shared with changes, especially as features like accounts or backup get added before launch. Last updated: August 8, 2026.
